Condoms are one of the ways to avoid chances of pregnancy and perhaps the best way to prevent any sexually transmitted disease. Despite its benefits, there are some arguments against the capacity of condoms to prevent pregnancies. Much has been said about the failure of condoms but condoms do not fail by themselves.
The most important thing for a successful condom usage is its correct usage. Male condoms are designed to be put on an erect penis. Generally, the condoms are made from latex, which gives them their characteristic of flexibility. The penis is to be made erect from sexual stimulation in order to put the condom on. The pouch of the condom is placed over the glands and then it is stretched slowly over the till the scrotal sac. When ejaculation takes place, the seminal discharge is deposited in the pouch. The penis should be removed from the vagina after ejaculation. Taking off a condom from the penis should be done with utmost care while keeping it away from the vagina. After removing, grip it from the top to avoid any chances of the semen falling anywhere. A used condom should be disposed in the wastebasket and should not be reused.
